On December 21, there will be Winter Solstice celebrations in five different areas of Vancouver. The winter solstice is the shortest, darkest day of the year. It’s a time to look for a warm fire, warm food and warm company to cheer everyone up. The solstice events will include music and beautiful lanterns. For more information, check out the Secret Lantern Society.
Many people in Vancouver will celebrate Christmas on December 25. Jewish people celebrate Chanukah from December 20-28. During this dark season, it’s wonderful to have many special days.
